Systems Accountant
Hours: 37 hours per week
Weeks: 52 weeks per year
Salary: £35,000+ (depending on experience)
Holiday: 22 days plus bank holidays*

We are an established consultancy company working in the education finance sector. In our 10th year of trading we are looking to grow the team once again.

We have offices in East Malling, however this role will be based at your home address and will require regular travel to clients’ premises. Mileage will be reimbursed to you at the HMRC rate.
Person Specification
Although an Accountancy qualification and/or relevant school or charity experience is desirable, they are not essential. We are strong believers of employing for attitude and training necessary skills.
The majority of our clients use PS Financials software, therefore experience of this would be desirable, however again, not essential.

We aim to ensure all client requests are fulfilled; managing all expectations to ensure that they always remain happy with the service that they receive.
As a member of the EduFin team you will be expected to present a professional image of yourself and the company at all times.
Some days will require home working therefore a high level of self-motivation is required.
You will need a clean driving licence and access to a vehicle. You will also need a clean enhanced DBS check which will be initiated by EduFin at the time of employment.
The Role
The Systems Accountant role is a vast one and can include;
· for a minimum of 3 days per week, provide cover for our Helpdesk and Hosting clients answering queries on a wide range of technical accounting and system administration topics
· Addition of new locations to PS Financials software
· Providing a budget holder roll-out service
· Setting up new users and clients on the EduFin Connect hosting service
· Providing support to the Network Manager for the EduFin Connect service
· training client staff on the relevant finance software we use
· Setup and maintain EduFin employee laptops and support with issues
Duties
The majority of your working day will be remote, answering a wide range of questions that are sent in by clients who use our Helpdesk and hosting service;
· When booked to cover the Helpdesk service;
Answering all Helpdesk emails which are received in line with our service level agreement.
Being the first line responder for any queries which come in from EduFin staff
Remotely accessing client machines to investigate and resolve issues
Deciding when to call clients when an email does not seem to be doing justice to a query
· Booking in time to add new locations and managing the transfer of required data from the client and advising the best approach to adding the new location and respective users
· Creating and keeping up to date a database of queries and responses to regularly asked queries so that these can be used for future training
· Creating training materials with screenshots for customers
· Setting up new clients on the EduFin Connect hosting service
· Setting up and maintaining new users on the EduFin Connect hosting service
· Working with the Network Manager to ensure the security of the EduFin Connect hosting service is without compromise
· Working with the team to ensure that any performance issues with the EduFin connect network are quickly identified and resolved.
· Being a professional face of EduFin at all times
· Taking responsibility for the level of work delivered at all times
· Looking for opportunities to promote our services such as Helpdesk / Connect / Software / Consultancy
· Having a presence on LinkedIn on behalf of the company
· Keeping on top of sector changes to provide the best service possible to clients
· Keeping up an adequate level of CPD; sourcing your own training opportunities in the areas required to improve your service to clients (funding requests to line manager)
· Being responsible for the training and development of junior members of the team as required
· Ensuring you are always delivering added value to clients, both on site and via helpdesk / email communication
· Having an input and focus on marketing needs of the company
· Any other duties as required from the directors

*EduFin is closed for 5 days over the Christmas period, using annual leave for this period is mandatory, however after 1 year of service annual entitlement increases to 25 days and after 3 years increases further to 28 days.
